John Eichberger is the Executive Director of the Transportation Energy Institute (TEI), an independent, non-profit research organization based in the United States. He has led the institute since its founding in 2013 (originally established as the Fuels Institute by NACS). With more than two decades of experience at the intersection of transportation, energy markets, and public policy, Eichberger is a recognized industry expert. He specializes in delivering data-driven, objective analysis regarding vehicle trends, market intelligence, regulatory developments, and emerging mobility solutions like electric vehicles and renewable fuels. Prior to his role at TEI, he served for over 14 years as a representative for NACS, advocating for the convenience and fuel retailing industry before the federal government and media.
