Adam Gryglak

Adam Gryglak, President of AVL Mobility Technologies Inc., leads the North American business portfolio for engineering services and simulation technology. He is responsible for business and technology development in the automotive, commercial vehicle, agricultural, aviation and aerospace industries. This includes a wide array of propulsion technologies, such as traditional internal combustion, battery electric, hybrid and hydrogen/fuel cell, as well as full vehicle development.
Gryglak has over 35 years of automotive experience prior to joining AVL, including consulting to OEM and Tier1 manufacturers, and has held several global leadership roles at Ford Motor Co, with powertrain, planning and vehicle development responsibilities. He started his career in the US in fuel systems and calibration, later leading powertrain technology planning and advanced engine development within R&D. Gryglak led Ford’s rebirth in the diesel sector, leading the development and manufacturing of the award-winning 6.7L Power-stroke engine and launching the next generation rear-wheel drive 10-speed transmission & modular hybrid. He has held roles in Europe as Chief Engineer Powertrain Integration, Asia-Pacific as B-Car Vehicle Line Director and Joint Ventures, and Global Chief Engineer Explorer/Aviator/Police vehicle lines.
Gryglak holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois – Chicago, master’s degree in mechanical/automotive engineering from the University of Michigan, and an engineering management degree from Wayne State.
