Bob Flotkoetter is Director of Vehicle Program Management and Associate Chief Vehicle Engineer at Nissan North America. In this role, Bob leads the development of the Nissan Pathfinder and Murano SUVs, which are engineered in Farmington Hills, MI and built in Smyrna, Tennessee. Prior to joining Nissan, Bob started his career in hybrid electric vehicle development at DaimlerChrysler, and later held systems engineering positions at Mercedes-Benz and A123 Systems. Bob holds electrical engineering and MBA degrees from Michigan State University and an electrical engineering master’s degree from the University of Michigan. He lives in Novi, Michigan, with his wife and three sons, where his additional roles include husband, father, coach, amateur photographer and avid mountain biker.
