Fireside Chat- Policy, power & powertrains: Potential collisions in the U.S. transportation landscape through 2030

27 Oct 2026
Preliminary Agenda - Speakers and Topics are Subject to Change, Additions or Subtractions
Over the next five years, energy and technology will be in the driver’s seat. Surging demand from AI, data centers, and advanced manufacturing is colliding with a grid constrained by interconnection queues, rising capital costs, and shifting rules. At the same time, transportation policy is in flux: credits, domestic-content thresholds, and emissions standards are being rewritten or litigated, creating uncertainty for OEMs and suppliers. This conversation examines how the oil and gas industry is interpreting these shifts, how market dynamics, regulatory signals, and capital flows are shaping its outlook for the coming years, and what that means for transportation. We will discuss the risks and opportunities oil and gas leaders see ahead, and how their perspectives will influence how the automotive sector adapts to an evolving landscape of fuels, power, and policy.
